I started to learn Salsa about one year ago, here in Pune with Naach.
The classes are always fun with my fellow ‘Naachos’ and the well skilled teachers.
While learning more and more steps, moves and combos, I went to the Salsa Parties, which take place in Pune every week.
After a while, I also joined Bachata Classes, as Bachata is played at the Salsa Parties as well.
Besides the regular Classes (Level 1, 2, 3, 4 …) of Salsa and Bachata, the ‘Free Practice Sessions’, there is the possibility to have Private Lessons.
These are quite challenging and you will improve fast, as the teacher is adjusting the lessons 100% to your needs.
Thanks Naach, for getting me into my new Hobby – Salsa!
Joining Naach has been one of the best decisions I ever took in my life. Since the day I saw the banner above Kaka Halwai with the contact details of Abby, life has changed gears with me realizing that this is one art where my interest lies and unfortunately I never knew that for the last 26 years.
I started my stint at Naach with Salsa . The start was slow, and with the stiff body which I possessed, it was really difficult and commendable by the instructor who somehow made me practice and dance to the count of 123 and 567. Attending socials at Sohos and seeing all the people dance amazingly to these counts further inspired me. And then Abby encouraged us to join for the international salsa fest in Goa. Though we were really amateur at that moment, we really enjoyed the workshops and of course all those amazing dancers from all over India and the world. Without thos encouraging words from Abby we wouldn’t have even dared to go for the fest with knowledge of only the basic salsa steps and a right turn.
Since then I have been fortunate to learn Salsa and Bachata from some of the best instructors of India.
I have seen myself transform from the stiff unmovable body to a fairly reasonable dancers body which moves to the beats and yes the learning never stops and theres a long way to go.
Naach gave me opportunity to perform on Stage before a huge audience of around 500 people. It was my first stage performance and with the constant patience and efforts put in by Abby and Shekar we were able to put up a fabulous performance. We have been lucky to put up a Bachata performance again before a good crowd which was also appreciated. Naach helped us gel with the dance fraternity of Pune as well as many dance gods from different parts of India and abroad.
Naach has helped me meet people with different occupations but similar interests and we have formed and awesome group which otherwise would have never happened. Its not just the dance, its about day to day life where we help each other as well as enjoy the moments of success of every other person in the group. We go out enjoy, sing, dance, watch movies and play..just like a family.
Every person associated with Naach is special, be it Abby with her awesome attitude, deligence and patience, Rohit with his friendliness and the way he makes the atmosphere lively, Shekar with his amazing grace in Dance and the sincerity with he teaches the students (He is more of a buddy ;)), Amulya with his patience who took us through the initial stages of Bachata and former instructor of Naach and all those amazing friends I have made.
So much has been my affinity towards Naach that I had to somehow get my transfer canceled so that I could continue with Naach and not lose the people I met and cherish to be with. I wish Naach all the best for all the steps it takes and spread the madness and happiness of Dance all over Pune.
Dance is my breath. There is not a single day when I don’t dance, be it casually at home or in the class. After my thirst of learning an Indian classical dance form wanted to try my hands on the Latin style of dancing as well as Contemporary dance form. Was in a search of a dance studio wherein I could get to learn both the styles. And here I get one: “Naach” – to unlock my heart and satisfy my passion for dancing.
Came to know about Naach from the “International Dance festival Pune”, an event of an international level, held for the first time in Pune. Naach has been in forefront for everything, be it organising an international event, yearly shows for the students, reaching as many dance enthusiasts as possible by opening branches in various areas, hosting Salsa parties or providing an exposure of different dance styles under one roof. The trainers over here are very friendly and pay attention to each and every student. Especially for girls, the styling which Abhilasha has, is fabulous, you can learn a lot from her.
We are a close knit group of all Naachos who love to dance and dance to live. No matter if you are having two left feet, you will still enjoy dancing over here and gradually fall in love with this beautiful art. I have gained lots of friends coz of Naach, whom I cherish a lot. There are loads and loads of memories associated with Naach: full on masti after the classes, late night rehearsals, shows, picnic, movies, birthday celebrations etc etc…..you will definitely treasure all these moments.
So, if you wanna forget everything and Just dance, “Naach” is the place for you!!
Love you Naach!!
I am extremely happy to be a part of Naachos Family!
I think the turning point in my dancing life came when I first attended Abhilasha’s Bachata session at GIDC 2012. It was simply superb and by the time the session was over I knew that I am joining Naach to revive my dancing!! I feel that was one of the best choices I have ever made.
The best thing you get at Naach is The warmth and the level of comfort when you are learning new things..It makes learning new steps so easy and joyful too!!
And when it comes to the trainers I feel we have some of the best dance trainers who are so friendly and learning from them is in itself a great experience!! It is Naach which gave us the platform of BoomBox where I did my 1st ever Dance performance on stage..
It just feels awesome to be a part of Naach 🙂
Thank you for everything Naach!! Thank you for everything at Naach Abhilasha!!
